About the Walk

Each year on October 15th, communities around the world observe Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. October 15th is observed with remembrance ceremonies and candle lighting vigils concluding with the International Wave of Light, a worldwide of lighting of candles at 7pm. It is a day of remembrance for pregnancy loss and infant death which includes but is not limited to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, or death of an infant/child.

While many other communities mark the occasion with an annual Walk to Remember, 2012 marks the first time the walk will be held in Northumberland.
